Our love for Summer Bay’s resident bad boy Brax knows no bounds and we bet most Irish girls would be only delira if they spotted a look-a-like of the Home and Away hottie on a night out.
So what’s the easiest way for Irish guys to try and emulate the actor? Start speaking in an Aussie accent, addressing everyone as ‘mate’ and greeting people with ‘G’day’? Start driving a Ute and telling friends you’ll see them this avo’? Or, go down the physical resemblance route and get one of Brax’s dead hard tattoos instead?
Unfortunately, Brax’s tattoos aren’t real (actor Steve Peacocke apparently spends an hour each day getting them painted on) and the whole ‘Blood and Sand’ thing doesn’t really work in our freezing cold climate – the beach is miserable and only jocks who’ve been to San Diego on a J1 take up surfing – so if an Irish guy was to go down the tattoo route he’d have to make it a bit more relevant.
What would his tattoo say? And would you let any guy you know go through with it?

This picture sent in by JOE reader Ross Kelly of his friend’s ‘Turf and Rain’ tattoo shows that it takes a lot more than a Brax inspired tattoo to get us ladies going. Our first reaction was ‘what the ****’ followed by ‘is this a joke?’ but you have to admit it’s original if nothing else.
Turf isn’t sexy and we’re pretty sure it will never be and without being cruel the hilarious inking are where the similarities between this guy and Brax begin and end. We just hope for his sake it’s fake and he was able to wash it away at the end of the night.
