It’s only been a matter of days since she won this year’s X Factor, but it seems the fame may already be going to Sam Bailey’s head.
Speaking to The Sun, the Leicester lass compared herself to none other than Angelina Jolie, as she spoke about balancing fame and family life.
Sam has already spoken out about the strain X Factor has put on her marriage, but speaking to the paper she said she would be well able to juggle her dual priorities, family and her singing career.
“It’s going to be tricky but that’s the plan. You have to think about the famous people that do it — Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt — if they can so can I,” she told The Sun.
‘As long as the kids get a great education and we all stay focused then we’ll be all right. I want to live in the same area, I’ll just get a bigger house.’
The mother of two was the favourite from early on in this series, but she admitted her marriage suffered throughout the weeks of the show, saying; “It’s been tough. I’m not going to lie. I think Craig is finding it all a bit surreal to be honest. He’s not been in the little bubble I’ve been in so there’s a fear of the unknown for both of us. It’s been hard to be away from my family. Craig has held the fort for so long and has done such an amazing job — but he wants me back now.”
Sam is currently leading the race for the UK Christmas number one with her cover of Demi Lovato’s Skyscraper.
