Pixie Lott has been named as another celebrity taking part in BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The singer revealed the news via her Twitter account yesterday and once the news was public knowledge, Pixie said: “I’m so excited to be doing Strictly, it’s going to be a lot of fun. I always want to push myself as a performer so can’t wait to learn the routines”.

There have been rumours circulating that former Xtra Factor Caroline Flack will also take to the Strictly stage but it hasn’t been confirmed as of yet.

Caroline’s Xtra Factor replacement Sarah-Jane Crawford yesterday tweeted about Caroline’s involvement in the show before quickly deleting it, according to various reports.

Sarah-Jane said: Lovely catching up with @carolineflack1 this AM, drinks soon twinkle toes? Now smash Strictly #girlpower.” However, she quickly deleted it after realising that the news had not been confirmed.

Her replacement tweet read: Lovely catching up with @carolineflack1 this AM who wished me luck for Sat… Drinks soon please.”

Pixie and possible Caroline, are to join Blue star Simon Webbe, The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge, tennis coach Judy Murray, presenter Alison Hammond, former rugby player Thom Evans, TOWIE’s Mark Wright, actress Sunetra Sarker, EastEnders actor Jake Wood,  Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills and naturalist Steve Backshall in the dancing competition.
