Why Prince Phillip may not go to granddaughter Princess Eugenie’s wedding

Keeley Ryan

Princess Eugenie is only a few months away from getting married, and we’re sure the wedding planning is in full swing.

She is set to wed Jack Brooksbank at St. George’s Chapel in October this year – the second royal wedding of the year.

It’s more than likely that we’ll be seeing plenty of familiar faces as the guests continue to arrive, as it sounds like their guest list is almost as long as Meghan and Harry’s.

But it looks like there may be one member of the royal family missing on the day.

New reports have claimed that the bride-to-be’s grandfather, 97-year-old Prince Phillip, has yet to decide if he is going to be attending the wedding.

According to PEOPLE Magazine, it is all down to the fact that he isn’t on good terms with Eugenie’s mum, Duchess Sarah Ferguson.

And while he appeared at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May, his on-going feud with Fergie may be a deal-breaker this fall.

An insider told the publication:

“He does what he wants. He made a supreme effort for Harry.

“I would be very surprised if he did go, because he is so estranged from Fergie. I think he will decide at the 99th hour.”
