Yes ladies, that’s right, we’re bringing you ten of our favourite celebrities all of which are a lot shorter than you might think.
1. Tom Cruise – He is hailed as one of the best, and shortest, actors in Hollywood and we just adore him. From Cocktail to Mission Impossible we’ve seen all of his films. As if that’s not reason enough we also like the fact we wouldn’t break our necks trying to kiss him!
2. Amy Huberman – Brian O’Driscoll’s other half has always looked small compared to her burly boyfriend who towers over her at five feet ten inches. Despite this she looks gorgeous and they are just perfect together. Jealous? Us? Never.
3. Peter Stringer – He may be small at five feet seven inches but Irish rugby player Peter Stringer can fairly make a rough tackle on the field. While he might not be as long as a piece of string his talent certainly is. When we say talent we do actually mean his rugby skills.
4. Kylie Minogue – The ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ singer might well be able to drive men wild but she might find it difficult to reach the top shelf in her kitchen. At just over five feet the Aussie star is one of the smallest on our list.
5. Dustin Hoffman – This Hollywood actor has played a host of characters including a pirate in Hook, an autistic man in Rain Man and a man who dresses up as a woman in Tootsie. His height clearly hasn’t hindered him in Hollywood.
6. Cheryl Cole – Love isn’t the only thing that Geordie singer Cheryl Cole has to fight for. She also has to fight to see over those standing in front of her! The Girls Aloud singer is absolutely tiny but makes up for it in personality.
7. Bono – His musical career and reputation might be larger than life but the U2 frontman isn’t. In saying that he is one of the tallest on our list… although, to be honest, that’s not really saying much is it?
8. Natalie Portman – We were a little surprised at this one here in the office. We were under the impression that Black Swan actress Natalie Portman was much taller than her modest five feet three inches. But we can’t say we’re not happy she’s just like us!
9. Shane Filan – Ever since he appeared as part of Westlife all those years ago, Shane Filan has always held a special place in our hearts but who can blame us when he’s looking like that?
10. Hilary Duff – Former Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff is just about over five feet but what she lacks in height she makes up for in success. The new mother has not only had a hit television show but she has also had considerable success in both the film and music industries.
And there we were thinking that we couldn’t be world famous singers and actresses because we were too short. Suppose it’s too late to try now…
