They say being in a band is like being in a family so it comes as no surprise that Mel C has admitted that she was nearly thrown out of the five-piece on more than one occasion.
Speaking about her time in the Spice Girls during the forthcoming UTV special Spice Girls Story : Vivia Forever, the former sporty spice has revealed that the group used to have vicious rows amongst each other and that Geri was usually the cause of most of them. And the West End star also reveals that Mel B wasn’t far behind.
“She’d (Geri) left before but not publicly. I mean, I think a few of them had left, well, Melanie and Geri left a few times” she revealed “ So yeah, I mean, it was difficult and you know, I think Geri would say these things herself. But you know she was having some personal issues and it’s no secret that her and Melanie had a very fiery relationship in the past.”

But speaking out about her scary persona, Mel B admits that she’s happy with her name and cherishes the fact that she’ll always be known as Scary Spice. “I like my name. It kind of put a barrier up because when somebody would first meet me they’d think that I were going to be horrible and actually I picked and chose whether I was going to be nice or not nice that day.”
