“Managed to get to my neighbours who took care of me and got me to hospital in the ambulance.”
Wes Nelson was rushed to hospital after losing his vision and falling unconscious in his house.
The Love Island star took to social media to tell his fans of his frightening hospital trip – but says he’s doing better now.
Taking to Instagram to fill his followers in on the ordeal, he said he managed to alert his neighbours so they could call him an ambulance.
Sharing a photo of himself in a hospital bed while giving the thumbs up, the 25-year-old wrote: “So yesterday I randomly started to lose vision/consciousness in my house! Managed to get to my neighbours who took care of me and got me to hospital in the ambulance.
“Won’t go into detail but we did a bunch of tests and throughout the day and they’ve have told me I’m all good now.”
He added: “I feel loads better today. Got the green light for tour tomorrow. See you tomorrow Glasgow.”
Wes shot to fame on the fourth series of Love Island in 2018. He coupled up with Laura Anderson from the get-go but ended up with Megan Barton-Hanson later in the series.
Although his romance with Megan didn’t last, his time in the spotlight has continued, and the star has since built a career in music.
Following his time in Majorca, Wes later appeared on Dancing on Ice and The X Factor: Celebrity.
He launched his solo music career in 2020 and, in the same year, revealed he had become a millionaire.
