Don’t get us wrong, we also splash out at this time of the year and have no right to judge anyone else for their spending habits but €36,000 on one person does seem a tad excessive even for an A-list star!
But that’s what Katie Holmes has spent on daughter Suri if reports this morning are to be believed. The former Dawson’s Creek actress has apparently gone through £30,000 (over €36,000) for the six-year-old’s Christmas presents this year.
Katie is certainly splashing out on her daughter this year.
We know what you’re thinking: what on earth did she buy?! Well according to The Sun newspaper Suri will be getting a playhouse with its own running water and electricity as well as an iPad and designer clothing including a Ralph Lauren dress and Chloe fur coat (no doubt to help her maintain her title as best dressed celebrity child).
Call us jealous but for some reason we think Katie might be trying to distract the little girl from the fact that this will be her first Christmas after her parents’ high-profile divorce.
The actress has returned to the stage in play Dead Accounts.
As everyone knows Katie and Tom Cruise split earlier this year although the Hollywood star, who is currently in the UK shooting All You Need Is Kill, is said to be heading back to the States to be with his family for the holidays.
Now it’ll be very interesting to see what goodies he’ll be bringing for Christmas morning. Let the battle of the presents commence!
