Britney publicly called out David Lucado for his cheating ways on stage this week but her ex-boyfriend has decided to stand up for himself and is invoking the infamous ‘we were on a break’ defence.
We were all a little bit devastated to hear that a video clip had emerged showing Lucado kissing another woman, just weeks after rumours that the pair were set to walk up the aisle.
However, TMZ is now claiming that the lawyer is adamant that he was single while getting hot and heavy with the mystery woman, as Britney had broken up with him by text.
The site is reporting that the couple had been arguing over “outside influences” on their life when the Toxic singer sent him a message saying “I’m done with you” on August 6th. Lucado allegedly went out and hooked up with the woman the following night, before getting back with Britney on August 8th.
Either way, it doesn’t look like a reconciliation is on the cards as Britney’s team are understood to have blocked her ex from contacting her since the tape emerged.
