“We Both Let Each Other Go” – Matthew Knowles Opens Up About The Rift With His Daughter Beyoncé

He was replaced by Jay-Z as Beyoncé’s manager but was the split as amicable as they had made it out to be?

Back in 2011, Matthew Knowles announced he would no longer be his daughter Beyoncé’s manager and that the pair were parting on a “business level.” Now it seems there is more to the incident than what meets the eye.

Rumours circulated at the time that the rift began between Beyoncé and her father when the singer discovered he had fathered a lovechild, despite still being married to her mother Tina.

At the time, the pair insisted everything was fine with Matthew telling US Weekly: “We mutually agreed to part ways in terms of me managing Beyoncé, as my focus is in the investment of Music World Entertainment’s growing gospel and inspirational music division.”

However, the story has drastically changed from Matthew’s original claims, particularly due to the fact that the diva has not introduced her daughter to her grandfather. According to Entertainmentwise.com, Knowles now claims: “This was not a normal ending of a business agreement. This was a dad and a daughter and it was incredibly painful and it had some difficulties. But I try to always have a positive mind about things and you got to do it the right way.”

Now, Knowles and his daughter have virtually little or no relationship: “She didn’t let me go, we both let each other go.”

Seems like, unlike the song,Beyoncé no longer wants her husband to be like her daddy…
