We get that sometimes, when you really think you’ve tried your hardest and deserve a break, that it can be devastating to be overlooked.
Whether it’s that job promotion, the spot on a sports team… or in this case being crowned a beauty queen.
A beauty contest turned ugly when one contestant couldn’t hide her anger at another finalist being crowned the local state winner.
While finalists smiled and held hands in the Miss Amazon state pageant as part of Miss Brazil, contestant Sheislane Hayalla decided to take matters into her own hands when Carolina Toleda was named the winner.
Instead of congratulating the 20-year old, Hayalla snatched the tiara off her rival’s head, before throwing it to the floor.

Later trying to explain her actions, Hayalla said she felt Toleda had paid her way to the top:
“Money talks in Manaus and I wanted to show the Amazon people money doesn’t talk here. She didn’t deserve the title.”
Never mind the crown – we’re guessing she won’t be winning the Miss Congeniality contest either.
