Vogue Williams has spoken out about her father’s death
Presenter Vogue Williams has opened up about the heartbreaking loss of her father Freddie.
The podcast host lost her father in 2010 after he died from a stroke.
Vogue was only 24 when she lost her dad and said the heartbreak of losing him is hard to deal with.
In her new memoir, Vogue reflects on the harrowing loss.
“Losing parents at any age is a ball of s**t, but it happens to all of us,” she writes.
“I lost my dad when I was in my 20s and it was all very difficult. He was always out drinking and smoking, having the absolute time of his life.”
Vogue said her father had “zero concern for his own health.”
She added, “He was always out drinking and smoking, having the absolute time of his life.”
In a previous interview with the It Can’t Just Be Me podcast, Vogue said her father suffered a stroke following an elective surgery.
The mum-of-three continued, “He was always unwell. He had an aneurysm in his stomach. There was a high chance that it would just burst on its own, and then he would die at 68. He was young, but like he was always unwell because he smoked a lot towards the end.”
She added, “I think I felt guilt for, like for a good few years after it. I didn’t know that my aunty was trying to convince him to do it as well, so I thought I was convincing him to go for the operation, when then I was like, God, he could have had the summer.”
Big Mouth by Vogue Williams will be published in May 2025.
