“I’m happy for her, but….”
Damn Beyonce, look what you did now!
Kelly Rowland broke down in tears as she sang about her former Destiny’s Child bandmate and ‘sister’ Beyonce over the weekend.
Rowland was on stage in Washington when she became visibly upset during a performance of her new single ‘Dirty Laundry’.
In the song, Rowland opens up about escaping an abusive relationship, while Beyonce’s career flourished. Her lyrics include:
"While my sister was on stage, killing it like a motherf**ker
I was enraged, feeling it like a motherf**ker
Bird in a cage, you would never know what I was dealing with
Went out separate ways, but I was happy she was killing it."??
Rowland was seen wiping tears from her eyes after she shared a birthday lunch with Beyonce back in February, but the pair will reunite, along with fellow DC member Michelle Williams, for another track on Rowland’s forthcoming album Talk A Good Game.
