Usher has been granted full custody of his two children in a Georgia courtroom.
The hip-hop superstar was awarded primary care of four-year-old Usher Raymond V and Naviyd, three, yesterday.
The ruling comes just a few weeks after Tameka’s 11-year-old son Kile from another relationship died tragically following a Jet Ski accident.
Usher in court last week
The former couple both gave evidence last week in court as Tameka desperately fought to remain the primary caregiver of the children.
She branded Usher an absent father and he called her a bad mother.
It is unclear how much access Tameka will have to her children following the ruling.
Usher’s attorney said that Tameka is unable to give proper care to the children.
According to Fox Atlanta he said: “She does not have the emotional stability or capacity to bond with them, and therefore she is handicapped.”
Usher and Tameka divorced in 2009
The couple divorced in 2009 and put a co-parenting arrangement into place.
However, the recent death of Tameka’s son Kile prompted Usher to seek full custody, as he feared for his children’s wellbeing.
