Barack Obama intends to return to his ancestral home in County Offaly sometime during the next four years.
The recently re-elected US President visited Moneygall last year for a pint and has reportedly been in touch with his cousin Henry Healy and publican Ollie Hays about another session.
Michelle and Barack Obama visited Ireland last year.
Ollie, who served Obama the pint first time around, told the Irish Sun: “I have been in email contact with one of his PAs today.
“President Obama and his staff have told me that he’ll come back. It would be great if it happened during his second term. We’ve got four years to work something out.”
The whole first family could end up in Moneygall next time.
And it seems that it might not just be President Obama and Michelle this time, it could end up being a family affair.
“Myself and Henry were over with him in Washington in March. Michelle Obama privately indicated she’d love to bring the children Sasha and Malia next time,” Ollie explained.
