Little Mix have just penned the hotly anticipated comeback track for Britney Spears, after the pop queen snapped up the song from the UK girl band.
The X-Factor winning band originally wrote Pretty Girls for their upcoming third studio album – but the song was cut after it failed to fit the rest of the album.
According to The Sun newspaper, a friend of the band said:
“This is a huge coup for Little Mix. The song is really brilliant but the lyrics just didn’t end up fitting well with their own record. But Britney loved it and wanted to pick it up for her own album as soon as she heard it.”
The Womanizer singer will now release the song as her comeback hit, with rumours of a possible collaboration on the track with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea.
Jade Thirwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson originally shot to fame as winners’ of the 2011 series of The X-Factor.
