UFC star Ronda Rousey landed a very public blow to Floyd Mayweather this week when she called him out on his record of domestic abuse.
Alongside our own Conor McGregor, Rousey is one of the biggest stars of UFC and enjoyed a double victory at this week’s ESPY Awards when she was named Best Female Athlete and Best Fighter.
The 28-year-old beat off competition from boxer Mayweather for the Best Fighter award and used the opportunity to highlight his 2012’s conviction for domestic violence against then-partner Josie Harris.
“I can’t help but really say that I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once,” she said.
“I’d like to see you pretend not to know who I am now.”
Rousey will defend her title against Bethe Correia in Rio de Janeiro in August.
