If you’re a fan of Niall Horan your world more than likely came crashing down around you yesterday as Dubliner Zoe Whelan was revealed as the popstar’s girlfriend.
Thousands of broken-hearted One Direction fans took to the Twitter machine, in grief at the fact that whatever minute chance they had of Niall bringing them to Nando’s on a date was now completely shattered. The Irish Sun reports as they revealed the girlfriend’s identity in the paper yesterday.
One Twitter follower wrote: “This better not be real or I’m going to cry for the rest of my life. Who is Zoe Whelan and what does she have to do with Niall *loads shotgun*”
Some Niall lovers even refused to believe the 18-year-old aspiring model was even real, asking her to come forward and reveal herself.

Zoe stayed quiet on the Twitter machine yesterday but her profile gained thousands of followers over the course of the day and she finally deleted her account last night after the online abuse she was receiving from fans of Niall Horan.
Zoe went to Niall’s brother’s wedding in Westmeath last month and has been flying back and forth from Dublin to London to see the singer.
The teenager was at the end of thousands of abusive tweets yesterday.
A source told the paper: “Zoe is unlikely to speak publicly about all of this… everything goes through One Direction’s management. As someone in Niall’s life, she is trusted by him and will just want to get on with things.”
Zoe is planning to move to London soon to pursue her modelling dreams.
