Hector O hEochagain, didn’t your mammy ever tell you that if you don’t have anything nice to say about someone you should just say nothing? The radio host was forced to apologise yesterday after he called Ryan Tubridy “an awful b****x” live on air. Awkward.
The Irish Sun reports that Ryan had asked hector to explain what he meant by calling someone “cock of the walk” but Hector was convinced that Ryan was making a cheeky insinuation about the phrase.
He laughed and said: “Tubridy, oh you are an awful b****x, I swear to God!”
Ryan responded with: “What, what did you just say? Hector! There’s children. Hector we are on the air.”
Hector immediately realised his mistake and said: “Sorry, I shouldn’t say that – no I shouldn’t say that. You are after luring me in there – another ambush.”
Hector is known for being outspoken
After apologising repeatedly, Hector said: “This is fine, would you relax everybody? I know you Tubridy and you lured me into an ambush with a double entendre.”
“I apologise for using bad language but for God’s sake, I don’t use it all the time,” Hector added.
Yesterday afternoon, Hector posed for pictures with Tubridy’s girlfriend, Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain. According to reports, he apologised again for his slip of the tongue.
You may be a bit morto about the incident Hector but at least you learned a valuable life lesson: always think before you speak – especially if you’re live on national radio.
