Irish actress Kerry Condon revealed the sweet tribute she paid her mam ahead of the release of the F1 movie.
Condon stars alongside Brad Pitt in the upcoming movie F1, released today, June 25th.
In the promotional interviews, Condon spoke with the Irish Independent about being an Irish female lead in a blockbuster movie.
“I’ve always wanted to do a blockbuster movie,” she said.
“And obviously this is the female lead in a massive blockbuster movie.”
The Tipperary-born actress also spoke about how her character was made Irish:
“And then they wanted me to be Irish.
“I thought, ‘Jeez, I don’t think I’ve seen that before, the Irish accent in a female lead, in a big massive movie.”
Being an Irish character, Condon shared that she asked to wear her Claddagh ring, paying a sweet tribute to her mother:
“I wanted to wear my Claddagh ring in the movie too, one that my mother got me and I wear all the time, so my character got to wear that.”
We love to see Condon paying tribute to her mother and her Irish roots by wearing the claddagh ring.
