Tracy Morgan’s condition has been upgraded to fair, after the New Jersey car crash which left him seriously injured, according to a statement issued by his representative, Lewis Kay.
Kay also said that Tracy’s assistant, Jeff Millea, who was also deemed critical after the crash, has also been upgraded to a fair condition.
“Happy to pass along that Tracy has been upgraded to fair condition, which is a great improvement,” the statement reads. “His personality is certainly starting to come back as well.”
Tracy suffered a broken nose, broken femur and broken ribs in the crash. He was brought to the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick and had surgery for a broken leg the day after the incident, according to Variety.
The crash happened on June 7, when a truck driven by Kevin Roper, struck the limo in which Tracy and six other people were returning from one of Tracy’s stand-up comedy gigs.
Comedian Jimmy McNair was killed in the crash and Tracy, Jeff and two others were injured. Roper has been charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto.
