Supermodel Cara Delevigne has spoken out about her battle with psoriasis, a skin condition that causes flaky and red patches on the skin.
Psoriasis is an auto-immune condition that affects the skin. There is currently no cure but it can be brought under control with various treatments.
The 21-year old shared an Instagram photo showing her sitting in a supermarket trolley, patches of dry scaly skin can be seen on her legs.
it prompted several nasty responses including, "OMG (oh my God)! Your skin! Cara Delevingne u need a bath!" and "Ugly boots, ugly legs".

The model then took to Twitter to voice her opinions.
'Just to reiterate, I have psoriasis and it's leaves scares and I will have for the rest of my life [sic],' Cara posted.
'I can handle the negative comments but just remember that no one is perfect.
'EMBRACE YOUR INDIVIDUALITY! It's makes you who you are x.'
The model's condition was first noticed last October when she walked in Versace's Milan Fashion Week show with nasty-looking red patches on her legs.
'Be gone psoriasis, you're no fun!' she tweeted at the time.
