“It is with grace and gratitude that we announce we are divorcing.”
Toni Collette has announced that she and her partner Dave Galafassi are getting a divorce after being married for almost 20 years.
The actress made the announcement on her Instagram page, and informed fans that they have been separated for some time, and that their children remain their priority.
She wrote: “After a substantial period of separation, it is with grace and gratitude that we announce we are divorcing.
“We’re united in our decision and part with continuing respect and care for each other. Our kids are of paramount importance to us and we will continue to thrive as a family, albeit a different shape.

“We’re thankful for the space and love you grant us as we evolve and move through this transition peacefully.”
She signed off the message with “big thanks” from them both.
Toni met Dave, a musician, in 2002 and they married the following year. In 2008, they welcomed a daughter, who they named Sage Florence, and in 2011, they welcomed a son, Arlo Robert.
In the comments, Toni was met with support from fans.
“Peace and light to you,” one fan wrote. “You shine in every vehicle you’re in – plus you seem like a lovely person.”
Another penned: “Here’s wishing you an even better more exciting next phase in your life.”
A third wrote: “You have always moved with your performances in any role, dear Toni. This too shall pass. You’ll emerge stronger than ever and turn a page into a new chapter in your life as you heal. Love and hugs to you and your family.”
