Tom Hardy is inspired by Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me
Speaking to Total Film magazine Hardy said: “I really do like Come Dine With Me. It’s great people-watching. I’ll steal characters from Come Dine With Me. Because they’re real people. I take something from everybody.”
Hardy’s character rarely speaks throughout the film and often prefers to growl.
However the actor said he is a motherly character.
”Forrest is a matriarch, he’s a mother. I don’t think it’s being macho. I don’t think that’s what masculinity is.”
The actor said he is deeply interested in the feminine side of his character.

”He’s a specific type of man. What interested me was the female role in this guy. And what the nature of violence is to men. Non-egotistical violence, non-macho violence. Violence from within the cardigan.”
Her.ie would love to see Tom on a Celebrity version of Come Dine with Me. We think he would throw one interesting party!
