Music icon Tina Turner has sadly passed away at the age of 83.
The singer died following a long illness, her publicist announced this evening.
They issued a statement following the ‘Proud Mary’ singer’s death.
“Tina Turner, the “Queen of Rock’n Roll” has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland,” they told PA.
“With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model,” they added.

Turner was best known for her songs ‘The Best’ and ‘Proud Mary’.
Tributes have been pouring in for the music legend.
One fan wrote, “An absolute legend. Her music will always be the one that gets people on the dance floor.”
Another added, “Rest in peace, Tina Turner. Your legacy will continue to impact everyone’s lives and artistry.”
“There are no words to describe how much of a light tina turner the queen of rock was, how incredibly talented she was, and how she paved the way for so many artists,” another added.
