‘The time now feels right’ Spice Girls confirm news fans were hoping for

They never gave up on the good times.

The Spice Girls have confirmed they will be getting back together for some "incredible new opportunities" amid reunion rumours. The five-piece sent the rumour mill into overdrive on Friday after Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner all shared a smiley photo of the bandmates back together. Marking the first time that they had all been photographed together since 2012, Bunton said it was "great to catch up with my girls", adding that "the future is looking spicy." Meanwhile, Beckham wrote alongside the photo: "Love my girls!!! So many kisses!!! X Exciting x #friendshipneverends #girlpower" while Horner said "Lovely seeing the girls #girlpower is alive and well". https://instagram.com/p/Bes3RJJlc1D/?utm_source=ig_embed And, following the "wonderful afternoon catching-up", the band are set to reunite for some "exciting possibilities."   A spokesperson told Digital Spy:

"We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together. "We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls. "The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. "We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations."

According to The Sun, however, the reunion does not appear to include any tour dates. An insider told the publication:

“Victoria and Geri agreed it would be impossible to be part of a  fully-fledged tour because of family and business commitments. “Now that she’s a top designer Victoria is concerned about singing but she wants to make money to pump back into her business.”
