Simon Cowell has finally given his two cents to the media following the appearance online of a One Direction video featuring Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson allegedly smoking weed.
According to Digital Spy, the X-Factor judge claimed that he isn’t too concerned about the video and doesn’t think that the band have lost the plot.
“What I can say is that they’re the hardest-working boys I’ve ever worked with,” Cowell told Digital Spy. “They still haven’t changed.
“They’re really respectful of their fans [and] they’re a great British export… they’ve been a joy to work with.
“I’ve worked with a lot of artists in the past who do lose the plot, who do lose respect for their fans, they’ve never done that.”
However, Cowell refused to comment on whether he had given advice to the band, calling it a “private matter.”
