Threesome star Amy and her rugby-hero husband Brian O’Driscoll have revealed that they are expecting their first baby.
The couple tied the knot two years ago and ever since have had to fend off the ‘when are you starting a family?’ questions. Speaking to Independent Living’s Donal Lynch, Amy (33) says “Yeah I do [find that the frequent questions about children pre-suposable that every woman wants children]. And also that you can’t have them. That’s what I always think: What if someone is actually having problems having kids? I think it should be every woman’s prerogative to do what she wants.”
We’re used to seeing WAG’s play second fiddle, happy to bask in their partner’s glory and place themselves in a more supporting role but Amy was a star in her own right ever before she was linked to BOD and this 21st century couple have alluded to Brian giving up his career so that Amy can continue to pursue hers once they have children.
Low-key couple Amy and Brian make a rare appearance on the red carpet
Speaking on The Ray D’Arcy Show, Brian revealed that he wouldn’t mind being a house husband in the future something that Amy acknowledges is unusual – “I’m very lucky that he’s like that because a lot of men wouldn’t be as easygoing as that” she admits – which is great news for her fans as it means the blonde beauty won’t be hanging up her thespian boots just yet.
“Back in the day, giving up work was not easy, now balancing things is not easy – are you prepared to combine the two? I know I am. I don’t intend on having 12 children, if we have a couple of kids that will be good.”
One thing’s for sure – the future looks bright!
