Well, we’ll be honest and admit that this was the one question we had when it was revealed yesterday that Kim Kardashian had a bun in the oven: will the baby get its own reality TV show?
Today, our question has been answered and apparently, no, the spawn of Kimye will not be appearing on its very own programme. Is it wrong that we’re a little bit disappointed about this?
According to celebrity gossip website TMZ.com Kim and her baby daddy Kanye West have already made the decision that their child will not be a reality TV star and that they will protect it from the public eye.
Sources close to Kim spoke to the website and claimed that she and Kanye don’t want their baby dragged into the limelight at such a young age. Apparently the celebrity couple want to keep their new bundle of joy separate from Keeping Up With the Kardashians so they can “ensure real privacy” for the baby.

Kim has also reportedly said that the baby will never be on the family’s main reality TV show and it definitely won’t have its own spin-off. Oh and there’s not going to be a “Kim Gives Birth” special either.
However, true to form, Kim is reportedly planning on sharing her remaining months of pregnancy with the cameras because she thinks being pregnant “is great and cute” (Oh Kim, just wait until that morning sickness kicks in and those stretch marks start appearing…)
Kanye announced that Kim was up the duff in the middle of one of his concerts in Atlantic City. According to reports, the rapper stopped the concert to give a shout out to Kim who was in the audience.
Apparently Kanye couldn’t hold in his excitement and yelled: “Make noise for my baby mama right here!”
The news was quickly confirmed on Twitter by various members of the Kardashian clan and Kim herself posted the following picture and message on her own Twitter page:
“It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo.”
Now maybe we’re just being cynical but we imagine it won’t be long before Kim launches her own line of maternity clothes and baby bottles…
