They have proved to be fan favourites on one of TV’s most highly rated shows of the last decade, but while their characters never took their relationship to the next level, The Walking Dead stars Emily Kinney and Norman Reedus have gone one better by romancing off screen.
Us Weekly broke the news of the fledging romance this week, with a source telling the magazine: “They had a connection early on in the show, but the romance developed recently. They’re still pretty guarded about it.”
While Reedus remains in the hugely popular role of Daryl, Emily’s character Beth met a tragic end in the fifth season of the American horror drama.
Norman, 46, was in a long-term relationship with supermodel Helena Christensen from 1998 until 2003. The former couple have a 15-year-old son named Mingus.
Emily, 29, is also a recording actress and has spent time working on a new studio album, This Is War, after filing wrapped on Walking Dead.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted Reedus cheering on Kinney at a gig last month.
Speaking previously about life after the show, Kinney admitted that she travels with a keepsake. She said: “I’m not as much of a collector as everyone else. I have this turtle shell Norman gave me that I take everywhere.”
