Brendan McCahey has won this year’s The Voice of Ireland, scooping a victory for coach Bressie too.
The Cavan man pipped Kellie Lewis who finished in second place, with contestants Laura May Lenehan and Jamie Stanton in third and fourth respectively.
Brendan consistently impressed all coaches on the RTÉ show throughout the series, with coach Kian Egan telling McCahey:
“Honestly for me you’re the winner. You have shown us there is a lot of undiscovered talent in this country, you are the best singer on this show in three years.”
His mentor Bressie took to Twitter to thank fans for supporting his act. Keeping it simple but sweet he posted:
Thank you thank you thank you @RTETheVoice .
