The Price Tag Hurts… Singer To Pay Out One Million Pounds To Former Manager After Massive Dispute

The two-year-long dispute has finally ended.

Singer Jessie J is reportedly paying out almost £1 million to her former manager after a two-year dispute.

The argument between the Price Tag singer and her former manager, Raymond Stevenson, is thought to have finally ended, HeatWorld report.

Raymond first started working with the singer when he discovered her at the age of 15 and is reportedly behind her trademark look and “swagger”.

The manager signed Jessie J to a label when she was just 19 years of age but the comany collasped within months. Stevenson allegedly paid around £70,000 to get Jessie out of the strict contract with the company.

But, after a trip to America to introduce JJ to the music scene in the States, their relationship broke down and Jessie left the music mogul, employing Crown to represent her instead.

The dispute between herself and Raymond stemmed from the earnings from her album, Who You Are.

The singer recently shared photos of her dance workout.

It looks like Jessie will be writing a cheque for nearly 20 per cent of her earnings from the album.

The 25-year-old reportedly said she never thought the pay-out would be this large.

“Jessie is signed to the type of huge label who usually just get what they want,” a source said.

“Ray is extremely well respected, but he runs a relatively small operation and Jessie’s people thought he would just roll over.”

It’s a moral blow, but we don’t think Jessie J will be all too upset. Since her signing to the Crown label, she has been picked up by Universal and has released six top-ten hits, including two number ones.

The show must go on Jess…
