She may be known for playing a character that’s incredibly unlucky when it comes to love, but Helen Worth (aka Gail Platt from Coronation Street) got her own happily ever after yesterday when she tied the knot.

The Sunday World reports that Helen swopped vows with her long-term partner Trevor Dawson at St. James’s Church in London and her dress had everyone talking.

Instead of opting for the traditional colour of white, Helen walked down the aisle in a striking silver number. Check it out:

Helen and Tim announced their engagement last Easter and this marks the second time that Helen, aged 61, has tied the knot. She split from her husband of 21 years back in 2001 after he had an affair.

According to sources, several members of the Corrie cast attend the wedding including Samia Ghadie, Ryan Thomas and Alan Halsall.

The wedding reception was held in the plush Ritz hotel and guests were transported to the hotel in vintage double-decker buses.

It is believed that Corrie bosses had been worried that Helen would quit the soap for a quiet life away from the limelight after she got married again, however the actress (who has played Platt for 39 years) has said that she’s fully intending on signing a new contract when her current one expires later this year.
