The Becks Bunch: David Reveals Himself And Victoria’s Parenting Motto

This is how they keep their kids grounded...

The Beckham kids are growing up fast, but they seem to be keeping their feet firmly on the ground.

David Beckham has opened up about himself and wife Victoria’s parenting techniques, saying their trick is to let the kids do “99 per cent of the things they want to do” because they want them to lead a normal life.

The 38-year-old dad-of-four told CNN World Sport’s Pedro Pinto that their eldest son Brooklyn, 14, is already getting more independent as the days go by.

“My eldest is at the age where he wants to do things and he wants to go places and you have to hold him back, or we have to hold him back.

“You have to explain it to him that there are certain things that he can’t do.

“But to be honest, with our children, we let them do 99 per cent of the things they want to do because we want them to lead a normal life.”

David is currently splitting his time between London and Paris after signing for Paris St Germain earlier in the year.

His family, Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, moved to London in December after a few years living the LA lifestyle.

“When you speak about the sacrifices, that’s obviously the sacrifice that I have to make as a father and as a husband, being away from my family,” Beckham told the sports programme.

“It’s only for a short time but it’s difficult being away from the children every single day. But they understand it, they understand that Daddy works hard.”

On top of the hard work, Becks announced when he signed the St Germain deal that he would give all his earnings to a children charity.
