Courtney Love has admitted her relationship with actor Steve Coogan lasted just two weeks, saying it was his role as Tony Wilson in 2002 film 24 Hour Party People that sealed the deal revealing he was “somebody I’d always had a daddy thing for”.

Speaking to the Sunday Times, Love said:

“That was a two-week fling and we didn’t even exchange numbers at the end of it,” said Love.

“That was my last dance with cocaine.”

The Hole singer claims the relationship put her off cocaine, but didn’t deter her from opiates:

“When it comes to things like opiates, or cocaine, or even tequila, it’s hard. I love opiates and I went to the dentist recently and he gave me whatever I wanted. I said, ‘I think I’m in love with you.’

“I hadn’t gotten that high in years and I was allowed to do it legally because I had to get this molar fixed.”

Love has previously accused Coogan’s wayward lifestyle of cocaine and partying for the destruction of other celebrities’ lives, claiming the comedian’s influence played a part in Owen Wilson’s suicide attempt in 2007.
