We don’t know about you, but we’re still finding it a little hard to come to terms with the fact that Nickleback frontman Chad Kroeger is set to tie the knot to Avril ‘Complicated’ Lavigne. Fair play to them and everything, we just never saw it coming. Ever.
But the good news is that the couple are thrilled about their upcoming nuptials and Chad has just revealed that despite the fact that he and Avril are getting married, his fiancée wouldn’t even be able to identify one of his songs if she heard it on the radio. Eh, awkward!
Bad form Avril, sure we’ve all heard that How You Remind Me song. It was an early-noughties hit!
Anyway, when Chad was asked recently if one of his band’s sexier songs was on his and Avril’s bedroom playlist, Chad admitted that even if it was, Avril wouldn’t have a clue who was signing it.

“If a naughty Nickleback song came on, my fiancée would probably ask who it was,” said Chad, speaking to RadarOnline.
“She’d be like, ‘Who’s this? This is good. I like it.’ I’m terrified that someday she’s going to listen to some of the things I’ve written, and I’m going to have some explaining to do. There’s going to be a while question-and-answer period following that one,” he added.
When he was asked if his declaration to Playboy four years ago about his promiscuity had changed (Chad told the adult magazine he was a “walking penis” when it came to women) since he started seeing Avril, the singer was blunt and honest.
“I don’t think my libido has changed. I just think that my rolodex has been confiscated. And I’m okay with that,” said Chad.
Chad popped the question to Avril back in August after the pair met earlier this year, so it’s safe to say that their romance has been a bit of a whirlwind but the couple are thrilled with their engagement and have said in the past that they’re not concerned with what anyone else thinks about the courtship.
We wish them all the best for their future together, oh and Avril? It might be a good idea to start downloading some Nickleback tracks. We have a feeling you’ll need to know them in the future…
