A British model has accused celebrity photographer Terry Richardson of offering her a Vogue shoot opportunity in exchange for sex.

Emma Appleton, who hails from Witney, Oxfordshire, claims that Richardson sent her an explicit message on Facebook, however a spokesperson insists the suggestive text is fake.

Appleton called out the photographer by uploading a screenshot of the message onto Twitter.

Richardson’s alleged message reads: “If I can f**k you I will book you in ny or a shoot for Vogue.”

A screen grab of the text reportedly sent by the celebrity photographer.

Shortly after posting the image, Emma deleted her Twitter account entirely and removed the screen grab from Instagram.

After being questioned by followers online, she explained that she had declined the offer.

She tweeted: “Beginning to wish I hadn’t posted that… it doesn’t matter who you are or what the industry is, just be a decent human being.

“The fact people think this is acceptable blows my fucking mind. See ya.”

Candice Marks, a spokesperson for Richardson, told Buzzfeed that the message was not sent by the 48-year-old photographer.

“This is obviously a fake. Terry did not send this text,” Marks explained.

Last month Richardson, who is responsible for Miley Cyrus’ controversial ‘Wreckingball’ video and provocative, scantily clad images of a string of celebrities, responded to online rumours with an open letter after being labelled a ‘sexual predator’.

“I chose to primarily ignore a cycle of Internet gossip and false accusations against me,” he wrote.

“I felt that to dignify them with a response was a betrayal of my work and my character.

“When these allegations resurfaced over the past few months, they seemed especially vicious and distorted, becoming nothing more than an emotionally-charged witch hunt.

“People have become comfortable concocting hate-filled and libelous tales

“In writing this, I make a humble attempt at correcting these rumours.

‘Without my voice, all that remain are the lies.”

Earlier today Appleton posted the following message onto her Instagram account:

The model thanked people for kind comments before signing off with “that’s the end of it.”
