Her marriage has been under the spotlight this week but Denise Van Outen says that all is well between her and hubby Lee Mead.
Rumours have been swirling all week about a split between the two after the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant was spotted holidaying in Dubai by herself.
Lee and Denise tied the knot in 2009 and have a two-year-old daughter, Betsy.
During an interview on Daybreak this morning Denise insisted that there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for this.
“There is always speculation. Just to set the record straight, we don’t have a nanny so we split up our parenting duties, so we do spend time apart,” she said before adding that you can’t win.

“If we had a nanny and we went away together all the time, people would criticize us for not taking our child with us.”
Her other half Lee also took to Twitter to deny the reports earlier this week. He wrote: “Thanks Daily Mirror for writing another story full of crap. Boring – We’re busy working parents!!”
