Stevie Nicks attended the Eras Tour in Dublin this weekend
Taylor Swift wrapped up three sold-out shows at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium this Sunday but not before paying tribute to her idol Stevie Nicks.
The Fleetwood Mac frontwoman attended her final sold-out show in Dublin on Sunday night and Swift made the most of the moment during the acoustic set of the show.
Swift often performs mashups of four random songs during the ‘surprise song’ set but she altered it in honour of Nicks.
On guitar, she performed her song Clara Bow, which features a nod to Nicks.
‘You look like Stevie Nicks, In ’75, the hair and lips’
Swift also performed one of the singer’s favourite songs, You’re On Your Own Kid, in full.
Following the release of Midnights, Stevie Nicks opened up about how much the song meant to her.

She explained that the song reminded her of her late friend and bandmate Christine McVie. Swift made sure to honour the musician by performing the song in full on piano last night.
The Silver Springs singer previously said: “Thank you to Taylor Swift for doing this thing for me, and that is writing a song called ‘You’re On Your Own, Kid’. That is the sadness of how I feel. As long as Chris was, even on the other side of the world, we didn’t have to talk on the phone.
“She’s paved the way for us. And she’s mentored so many artists.”
“We really weren’t phone buddies. Then we would go back to Fleetwood Mac, and we would walk in and it would be like ‘little sister, how are you?’ It was like never a minute had passed, never an argument in our entire 47 years. So, when it was the two of us, the two of us were on our own, kids, we always were. And now, I’m having to learn to be on my own, kid, by myself. So, you help me to do that. Thank you.”

Last night, Swift said Nicks helped pave the way for her and so many other female artists.
She gushed, “She’s paved the way for us. And she’s mentored so many artists. She’s a hero of mine and also someone that I can tell her any secret and she would never tell anybody.”
