When we heard about it, we thought there’s just no way Miley Cyrus is capable of punching a man in the face on a night out at a club!

Not that we don’t think the feisty star could pack a punch. We’re sure she could but it just didn’t seem to tie in with her demeanour. And we reckon we know her pretty well from everything she puts up on her Twitter account!

The former Hannah Montana actress is being investigated by police in relation to criminal battery after an incident involving her, her fiancé Liam Hemsworth and a man at Beacher’s Madhouse in Hollywood last weekend.

Liam and Miley had a bit of an altercation with a fellow clubgoer.

But now, before it ever really began, it seems the whole ordeal may be over. According to TMZ, a source has said that surveillance footage proves Miley’s innocence.

Both the singer and her famous boyfriend have been interviewed following claims made by the victim. He said that Miley punched him in the face after Liam squared up to him for bumping into his chair.

Obviously the two young stars denied this and also said that the man repeatedly bumped into Liam’s chair before they confronted him.

The insider told the website that, due to the video footage which has been handed over to the authorities, it’s “almost certain” that no charges will be filed against The Last Song star. The investigation continues.
