Study reveals the celebrities with the most popular engagement rings

It’s no secret that celebrities can influence a multitude of trends, and it seems engagement rings are no exception.
Whether that’s down to curiosity around the price tag or looking for inspiration, many of our favourite engaged and married celebrities have landed themselves at the top of the list for having popular engagement rings.
In a study carried out by diamond engagement rings and fine jewellery brand Mark Broumand, revealed who we are all heading to Google to search in the wake of their engagements or wedded bliss.
1. Megan Fox
Despite, and likely because, Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) sparked controversy online when she revealed to Vogue that the bands have tiny thorns on them, which allegedly make the ring painful to take off, the most-searched engagement rings belong to Megan Fox.
The average monthly global search was 31,200 after the Transformers actress got engaged to MGK in January 2022 when he proposed to her with a ‘Toi et Moi’ (‘you and me’) ring that is estimated to be worth a modest $300,000.
It consists of two separate interlocking bands held together by a magnet. One band holds a gorgeous pear-shaped diamond, the other a pear-shaped untreated Colombian emerald, with both gems sitting on 18 karats of white gold pavè set.
Coming in second is J-Lo’s 8.5-carat engagement ring, with an average of 20,350 monthly global searches. The Marry Me actress got engaged to Ben Affleck for the second time in April 2022, two decades after their first engagement, which was called off in 2003.
The cushion-cut green diamond is estimated to have cost between $3 and $10 million due to the rarity of green diamonds as well as the white baguette-cut diamonds that surround the green diamond.
It’s absolutely no surprise that a Kardashian sister features so highly on the list of the most popular engagement rings.
With an average of 12,300 monthly global searches, Kourtney’s ring was given to her by Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker in October 2021 on Rosewood Miramar Beach in Montecito, California.
The stunning ring is a 12-carat, oval-shaped solitaire diamond ring worth around $1 million.
Coming in fourth with an average of 11,500 monthly searches is Meghan Markle, which makes sense given that the man who proposed to her with the ring is a prince.
It’s believed that Harry designed the ring, which features three diamonds, with the centre diamond being an impressive 3-carat cushion cut from Botswana, surrounded by two diamonds from Princess Diana’s collection, said to be less than a carat each.
The ring was redesigned so that the simple gold band was replaced by a thin yellow gold band set with micro-pavè diamonds.

5. Hailey Bieber
Just about making the top five is none other than Hailey Bieber, with an average of 9,600 monthly global searches.
Justin proposed to Hailey in July 2018 in the Bahamas with an 18-karat yellow gold solitaire band with an oval cut diamond, which is said to be around 6–10 carats and worth around $500,000.
Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, Kate Middleton, Blake Lively, and Beyoncé all feature on the top ten list of the most searched engagement rings in the celebrity world.
Britney Spears, Emily Ratajkowski, Paris Hilton, Nick Canon, Cardi B, Lily Collins, Sofia Richie, Kat Von D, Simone Biles, and Millie Bobby Browne all come in for the top 20 popular engagements and to our personal lists for engagement ring inspiration.
