Good for her!

Angela Scanlon, 39, has made the decision to embrace her naturally pale skin and declined having a spray tan during her time on Strictly Come Dancing.

The presenter, who is partnered with pro dancer Carlos Gu, opened up while appearing on Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel about wearing tan during her 15-year struggle of learning accept and love her complexion.

And now, she is flying the flag for redheads as she stepped out in her gorgeous Strictly makeover on the show without tan. We absolutely love to see it.

“I used to wear it [tan] and I know lots of redheads who do wear it who feel really uncomfortable with their pale skin — but I don’t.

“I’ve spent 15 years getting to grips with the fact I have pale skin. You don’t need to fake tan to feel confident. I want to show that, for me, feeling sexy comes from being myself, not how orange my legs are,” she told McIntyre.

By embracing her skin, Angela told The Sun that this has turned her into a role model for other flame-haired fans.

“I feel really touched when I get a message from somebody who says their daughter is suddenly OK with not wearing fake tan because she saw me on the telly with my white legs out.”

The media personality also says that Strictly bosses have respected her decision to ditch the tan.

“I never felt that when I was young. I never saw anyone super pale on telly and, obviously, there’s different levels of that across so many minorities. There’s been absolutely no pushback from Strictly on it. If you want to wear tan, you wear it. If you don’t, you don’t.”
