Strictly’s Annabel Croft calls Johannes Radebe her ‘soulmate’

Strictly star Annabel Croft has penned tribute to her dance partner

The couple just missed out on a place in the Strictly Come Dancing final last night, but Annabel gained so much from the show.

Annabel's husband sadly passed away just months before she made her Strictly debut.

She said Johannes gave her a reason to get out of bed after the harrowing loss.

The sports star praised Johannes for keeping her going on the tough days.

She said the dancer has become both her 'soulmate' and her 'best friend'.

"This incredible experience has sadly come to an end and what a very fitting last dance it was.

"Getting to dance this beautiful Viennese Waltz, twice, back in “hold” with Johannes was SO special."

She said Johannes was such an incredible teacher, but more importantly, an incredible friend.

Annabel said Strictly came at the right time in her life and it helped her heal following her husband's untimely passing.

"Strictly really has been so life-changing! When I think back to week 1, I was apprehensive and terrified… a bit like a rabbit in the headlights. But Strictly has brought me out of my shell and allowed me to discover things about myself that I never knew."

Annabel also thanked the viewers who kept her going during this incredible journey.

She said she appreciates their waves of support, as well as the love they sent her every week.

Annabel missed out on a place in Strictly's final next weekend.

Layton Williams, Ellie Leach, and Bobby Brazier all got through to the Strictly Come Dancing final.
