“Stop Picking On Me” – Helen Flanagan Hits Back at Those Who Criticised Her Recent Snaps

She's not shy of a bit of controversy (especially on Twitter) but this time the former Coronation Street star isn't willing to back down!

It’s not the first time Helen Flanagan has gotten in trouble for what she has tweeted. There was the time she posted the picture of herself holding a gun to her head and then there was the time she… anyway, we’re sure it won’t be the last!

This week the actress found herself at the receiving end of quite a lot of criticism (no surprise there really) after sharing a picture of herself holding a leather handbag after posting a snap showing her support for PETA.

Helen posted this snap first.

After announcing that she is a supporter of animal rights, the former soap star then went on to show off a few of her designer handbags which happened to be made of leather.

This contradiction then led to a bit of backlash to which she has now decided to respond. (Perhaps not the wisest of decisions.)

Then she followed it with this one.

Earlier today she tweeted: “I’m sorry but this is ridiculous leave me alone! Ive done something for charity- exotic animals are killed in a cruel way for there skins [sic].”

She continued: “Leather is not. Stop picking on me. Enough.” Guess she needs to remind herself of PETA’s “leather is just as cruel” principle!
