Following Lance Armstrong’s explosive revelations and his arrogant interview with Oprah, you would think he would be taking any jobs he could get but it seems the former cycling champion draws the line at reality TV shows and has turned down the offer to appear on Dancing With The Stars in the US.
The American version of Strictly approached the former champ before the Oprah interview aired but sources have revealed that Lance is considered a “big get” who would be sure to drive a huge volume of curious viewers to the show.
“Lance has been offered the show each and every year since its inception,” a representative for the cyclist revealed.
“Although flattered, he has passed on their generous offers.”
The disgraces star spoke to Oprah about the doping scandal
Other stars who have enjoyed success on the show include Kim Kardashian, her brother Rob, Mel B, Katherine Jenkins and Kelly Osbourne so the show isn’t exactly A-List but it has proved useful to celebrities trying to improve the public’s perception of them and is usually a fast track to career revival.
The sportsman who claimed seven Tour de France victories has admitted to taking performance enhancing drugs including EPO during his career even though he venomously denied all accusations at the time.
It might not seem so bad now Lance but something tells us you’ll be desperate for a similar offer this time next year…
