Stereo Kicks Singer Tom Mann Criticises Former Mentor Louis Walsh

"He didn't help the situation".

Louis Walsh recently hinted that his time on the X Factor had come to an end and this week, one of his former acts spoke out against the Mayo man’s mentoring skills.

Last year, Stereo Kicks came fifth in the reality singing competition under Louis’ direction but Tom Mann, one of the band’s eight members, wasn’t too happy with how they were treated.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: “We had a bumpy ride, it was like, ‘Are there too many?’

“Obviously Louis didn’t exactly help the situation by suggesting that a couple of us should be kicked out of the band.

“I’d be lying if I said I wish we were still with Louis. If I’m honest then I’d say we’re glad to be away from him”.

Tom went on to speak about the band’s new single, saying: “I’ve been writing songs since I was 13 or 14 so it’s obviously a massive honour for me to have the song chosen as a single.

“Everyone has said that there’s an old-school vibe to it, a 90s boy band feel.

“I hope it’s not too cheesy. I like the idea of us going the Coldplay or Snow Patrol type of route.”
