Have you ever wondered why most designers flat-out refuse to loan their clothes to Lindsay Lohan? Wonder no more, because apparently she likes to add her own ‘spin’ on the designs by attacking them with a scissors (well, if this story is anything to go by…)
Celebrity gossip website RadarOnline.com reports that Lindsay managed to score a Theia Couture gown worth almost $2,000 for a gala in New York City earlier this month with the help of her ‘benefactor’ Charlie Sheen and her stylist Phillip Bloch.
We imagine Charlie and Phillip seriously regretted their decision to vouch for Lindsay after she returned the gown in absolute tatters.
Apparently Lindsay completely destroyed the floor-sweeping bit of couture and shredded it into a tank top before she gave it back to the designer.
The dress Lindsay allegedly hacked to pieces
Lindsay was allowed to borrow the stunning dress after Phillip received a phone call from Charlie Sheen, asking the stylist to source a gown for Lindsay in order to help the financially troubled actress out for the event.
“She said that the dress had ripped [at a club after the gala] – she couldn’t possibly wear it like that – so her stylist friend went to the club bouncer and requested some scissors to repair the torn part of the dress,” said a source.
“But what bouncer has scissors?” the source added.
Instead of finding a safety pin to fix the dress, the source claims that Lindsay simply chopped it up into her own, odd design.
“She turned it into a mullet! She’s out of control and behaving really badly,” said the source.
The Daily Mail reached out to a spokesperson for the designer who informed them that the dress was loaned “in good faith” to Phillip Bloch and that the dress was damaged in the course of the evening.
“Further action has yet to be determined,” said the spokesperson.
Hmmm… call us crazy but we imagine that Lindsay has now officially been blacklisted by a host of designers…
