He might play a tough cop in The Departed and a crazy executive in 30 Rock but it looks as if Alec Baldwin is going to take up the role of father-of-two in real life.
Rumours have it the 54-year-old actor and his wife, 28-year-old yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas, are expecting their first child together.
Alec and Hilaria are said to be expecting the pitter patter of tiny feet.
The couple, who got hitched in June after a year of dating, are said to be over-the-moon at the prospect of a new addition to their family.
“They are both so excited and Alec is so in love with her. She says she is so in love with Alec and tells all her friends that she is the best thing that has ever happened to him,” a source told In Touch magazine.
The couple tied the knot last summer after a whirlwind romance.
The insider added that while Hilaria hasn’t spilled any details about the pregnancy, those closest to her knew straight away.
“Hilaria has not said much to anyone as far as how far along she is…She is so healthy and a yoga freak, so everyone could tell right away something was different.”
Alec, who already has a 17-year-old daughter from his marriage to L.A. Confidential star Kim Basinger, is yet to comment on the speculation.
