Joe Jonas reportedly didn’t want to divorce Sophie Turner.
Joe Jonas reportedly didn’t want to “break up his family” and didn’t want to divorce Sophie Turner.
The singer filed for divorce in L.A on September 5th, but sources close to the singer claim it was a last resort for him.
An insider revealed to Page Six: “Divorce was a last resort for Joe.”
They continued, “He never wanted to break up his family, but he had to take what he felt was the best course of action for his girls.”
The couple has two daughters, three-year-old Will and a one-year-old daughter whose name has not been revealed publically.
Yesterday, the pair revealed they were ending their marriage after four years. They first started dating in 2016 and then tied the knot in a Las Vegas wedding in 2019.
A ‘source’ tells Page Six that Joe Jonas tried to ‘salvage’ his marriage with Sophie Turner before filing for divorce:

In a joint statement, they revealed that the divorce was a mutual decision.
They “mutually agreed” to end their relationship and have asked the public to respect them during this heartbreaking time.
They stated:
“After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.
“There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
