Earlier this week it was revealed that Kate Middleton is pregnant and in hospital due to severe morning sickness. Like everybody else, an Australian radio station wanted to know more. Unlike everybody else, they didn’t know that there is a line that you shouldn’t cross.
The radio station decided to call up the hospital in which the Duchess of Cambridge is resting and pretend to be members of the Royal family to find out about her condition. Surprisingly they got quite a bit of information from the staff member they were speaking to.
Kate and William announced their good news earlier this week.
While some may have found it rather funny that they were able to do this, many recognise the seriousness of the call including Catherine’s hubby, Prince William, who is said to be fuming about the incident.
A source told The Mirror: “There is a lot of anger about this. Prince William was said to be furious when he found out… Kate is vulnerable and weak at the moment and these people think it’s funny to make a joke out of it?”
The telephone call isn’t the only prank that they have had to deal with.
The hospital has since apologised for their part in the prank and certainly will be more careful in the future about what they say and to whom over the telephone. (Well we’d like to think they would anyway!)
Aside from hoax calls and strange men wearing Prince William masks to the hospital, all the Duchess of Cambridge has to worry about now is looking after herself and the Royal baby who is said to be due next summer.
